Strawberries （イチゴ）

Those strawberries below were grown iin Tochigi Prefecture.
The name is ” Tochiotome ” in Japanese.

Those were presented me by a bit older person in our alumni association
than I am, two days ago. He lives in Tochigi Prefecture.

When I got and saw them, I was very pleased.

Their colors are very beautiful.
The taste is very sweet, and delicious too.

I am much obliged to him for his goodwill.

栃木県は北関東、埼玉県の北、福島県の南に位置しています。
日光国立公園、那須高原‥‥などがあります。
面積6,408平方km
人口約194万人

県庁所在地は宇都宮市　面積416.8平方km　人口約52万人、
イチゴ生産量日本1 （ 「とちおとめ」 が甘くて有名、最近は大粒の 「スカイべりー」
も生産され、出荷されているそうです）、2位福岡県、3位熊本県。

宇都宮市は餃子でも有名です。2013年まで日本1位,2017年、2019年も日本1位、
近年は浜松市、宮崎市の餃子消費量が増えてきているそうです。昨年度の1位は、
宮崎市 （ パソコン検索情報 ）。
